Mr. Buck was a rescued Greyhound. He had been a champion. After his racing career he was turned out to the Texas desert to die. Picked up by Animal Care and Control, we got him twenty minutes before he was to be put to death.
Never one to dwell in the past, Mr. Buck, almost hairless and twenty pounds underweight, bounded into our house and lives, seemingly saying "life is for living, let's get on with it!".
He taught us many lessons about life, love and forgiveness.
Mr. Buck passed away at the age of 14 years 4 months. He left us with fond memories and a new hope.
